So today I watched Spring Breakers for the first time! Basically the plot is about 4 best friends who want to go on their spring break however they dont have enough money to go. So the girls do an armed robbery (Using fake guns) and get loads of money. However when the arrive at spring break, after just a few days the girls get arrested. However a man called alien bails them out as long as they join him at his house for the summer. From there, the girls attend wild beach parties, engaging in drinking and reckless behavior. Alien then runs into his rival , who warns Alien to stop selling drugs in his territory. Alien ignores him and, in retaliation, his rival executes a drive-by shooting on Alien's car. One of the girls gets shot in the arm during the confrontation. And because of this Alien plans his revenge which turns out to be a massive shoot battle in bikinis ;) And theres loads of partying, sex and smoking inbetween!
And I have to say... I wasn't a fan :(
This film is about sex, smoking, drugs, prison, guns and living life on the edge. You can see potential from the storyline but it just didn't grab my attention. As much as I love my girls Selena gomez, Ashley Benson, Vannessa Hudgens and Rachel Korrine I felt as though the story line was lacking and empty! Aside from the slow start, it was really really really repetetive! They kept repeating lines over and over again! There was also loads of naked lesbian action which slightly creeped me out... However they were all really good actors! And the characters were all really good, especially Alien! :D So the characters were amazing but the storyline was poor:( Here are some stills from the film!
